Michael Gervais

​Owner, Managing Partner

Before joining forces with Jason Barnard to form Barnard & Gervais, LLC in 2016, Michael owned and operated his own Land Surveying and Septic Design firm for over 7 years that specialized in Boundary Surveying and Residential Subdivisions.  For the past 21 years, Michael has put his Associates Degree in Applied Science and Surveying Technology, along with his strong work ethic learned from growing up on a Vermont Dairy Farm, to use in the Surveying and Septic Design Fields.  

​After obtaining his State of Vermont Land Surveying License in 2007 he proceeded to obtain his State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation Septic Designers Licenses in 2008.  Michael enjoys helping his community in his field of expertise by serving on the local Planning Commission for the several years as a member and chair.  He has worked with several towns on creating and updating parcel maps and other town survey projects.  

Michael currently oversees all Boundary Survey Projects, FEMA Elevation Certificates and Letter of Map Changes as well as works on some wastewater and potable water supply projects at Barnard & Gervais, LLC.

Outside of work Michael enjoys coaching youth and high school sports teams, sugaring with his family, and watching his daughters in their many activities.
